Well, well. While most of the world is still debating whether the ever-increasing homosexuality is good or not, another British treasury legislator has 'wed' her lesbian bride.
According to NDTV, Treasury Minister Angela Eagle, 47, the only openly lesbian member of parliament in Britain, took part in a 'civil partnership' ceremony with British Telecom engineer Maria Exall at a south London register office on Saturday.
The marriage was made possible by legislation that grants new rights in areas such as employment, pensions and inheritance.
Civil partnerships, which have allowed same-sex couples in Britain to cement their relationship in law since 2005, give gay couples rights and responsibilities similar to married heterosexual couples.
Earlier this year, senior opposition MP Alan Duncan became the first parliamentarian to enter into a civil partnership.Other notable figures who have entered civil partnerships include British pop star Elton John and his long-term partner, Canadian film maker David Furnish.

Journalists who don't write
Ever heard of a journalist who can't write?
Well guess what... there are thousands of such journalists in the world who spend their lives actually working in the field, but end up having not written a single word that can be published with their names.
Until now, I have also been one of them. With about three years of experience working as subeditor in a national daily, I have so far written only one article published with my name. And that article was a weather report published about a year ago.
With this blog and this post, I plan to end that era of inaction and make the most of my free time.
Lets hope for the best.
